Many artists brag about getting very little sleep because they’re so committed to winning. And that’s great. Good for them. And, yeah, you may have to go through seasons where you’re not getting a ton of sleep. Maybe you’re working on a project that you’re super passionate about and it’s taking some time. That’s fine, but give yourself a break every now and then.

The problem is, a bank doesn’t always see it that way. If they look at your returns and see huge write-offs (even if you made good money), they may see you as a less than ideal applicant. It boils down to banks looking at gross income for W4 earners, and net for 1099 earners — which automatically puts you at a disadvantage.

Anne-Marie’s recent single “2002” paints a picture of the days when we were young by referencing pop songs from when she was 11. Once hip-hop artists started making money, they were met by an influx of copyright suits. Such harsh court decisions and the constant threat of legal suits inhibited the creativity of hip-hop artists. This case reflects the legal reaction to hip-hop: in the eyes of the court, hip-hop and sampling were not art, but pure theft. Courts labeled samplers criminals, and the art form itself was forced to change.

Here’s a little-known fact: The water we swallow never actually touches our vocal cords! Everything we swallow actually lands at the base of our tongue and travels around the larynx (or voice box) and down through the esophagus where all the food all goes. However the motion of human swallowing is what helps raise and tip the larynx, thus dislodging mucus and leaving us feeling fresh and clear down there in the back of our throats.
